I am writing to you from the other side of achievement. Not as someone who has all the answers, but as someone who asked all the wrong questions first and spent decades finding the right ones.
When I was young, I thought success was a destination. I thought if I worked hard enough, climbed high enough, earned enough, then I would arrive at a place called happiness. Then I would finally relax. Then I would finally feel complete.
I was wrong. And thankfully, because if I had been right, I would have stopped growing decades ago.
This book is a collection of letters. Fifty-two of them, one for each week of the year. They are written to my child, but they are written for you —the ambitious, high-potential individual who is exhausted by the external noise and ready to build an internal framework. They are the letters I wish someone had written to me when I was starting out.
